The months-long beauty contest has finally come to an end. With beauty pageant Nadia Afrin winning the crown, the hunt for talented model has reached its climax for the year.
Lux Channel i Superstar award is no stranger to anyone living in Bangladesh with even the tiniest bit of knowledge about the entertainment industry of the country. This is simply considered the most prestigious and talked-about talented beauty hunt show of the country. And winning the crown of the show not only means money and fame, but also a definite career in the media for the days to come.
This year, Nadia Afrin won the judges' and people's hearts and thus became new face of Lux in Bangladesh. At a glamorous event in BICC, she was awarded the crown of the show and handed over a check of Tk. 10 lakh along with the keys to a brand new car.
Trailing her was Nazifa Anjum who became the first runner up of this year's show. She was awarded a check of Tk. 5 lakh and the second runner up Nilanjana Neela was awarded a check of Tk. 3 lakh.
It is needless to say that although the grand prize was awarded to Nadia Afrin, it isn't the end of the world for Nazifa or Nilanjana, or any of the top five contestants. Thanks to the increasing number of television channels and other broadcasting media, all of them will have a bright career in the entertainment industry. It doesn't need mentioning that they didn't get to the top five just by luck. They do have some talent that helped them win the hearts of many. And that's what a performer needs to be able to do in an entertainment industry.
